Our events are designed to bring people together in a relaxed and uplifting environment where friendships can flourish naturally, soul connections can deepen and meaningful relationships may organically unfold over time. There is no pressure, performance or expectation – just real people meeting with openness, warmth and intention
Each event offers a beautiful balance of light-hearted social connection and deeper conversation. You’ll have opportunity to mingle freely, have the choice of taking part in and experiencing our thoughtful signature Light-hearted Speed Connections helping to break the ice in an enjoyable and natural way.
Connecting Souls is also a discreet and supportive place for gentle networking amongst healers, therapists, creatives, coaches and heart-led individuals who wish to connect authentically without the formality of traditional networking spaces.
Our events take place at different times and days throughout the month, creating flexible opportunities for people with different lifestyles, schedules and commitments to attend and feel included.
More than anything, this is a community centred around kindness, openness, encouragement and belonging.

Light-hearted speed connections
Our Light-Hearted Speed Connections are designed to make meeting new people feel easy, natural and enjoyable – even if you usually find social situations a little intimidating.
We understand that starting conversations with strangers can sometimes feel awkward at first, which is why we have created our own thoughtfully curated deck of uplifting and meaningful conversation prompts. You are welcome to choose questions intentionally or pick them at random to help gently guide each interaction and spark authentic conversation.
Each connection lasts around five minutes, giving you enough time to introduce yourself, share a moment of genuine conversation and get a feel for the energy between you before moving on to meet someone new.
There is no pressure to impress anyone or force a connection. The experience is simply about being present, enjoying meaningful interactions and allowing conversations to unfold naturally. If you feel drawn to someone you meet – whether as a potential friend, collaborator, activity partner or something more – you can continue chatting throughout the evening in the relaxed social atmosphere after the connection rounds have finished.
We also encourage people to remember the quiet power of non-verbal connection. A warm smile, kind eye contact, laughter and genuine curiosity can often say far more than words ever could.
Most importantly, just come as who you are.
You do not need to be the loudest person in the room or have the perfect thing to say. Some conversations may resonate deeply, while others may simply be light and fleeting and that is all part of the experience.
At the very least, you will leave having shared moments with interesting people, stepped outside your comfort zone and, hopefully, felt a little more connected than before you arrived. And sometimes, the most unexpected conversations become the most meaningful ones.
Do's and don'ts at the meeting
Light-hearted speed connections are strictly for making friends. Uncomfortable romantic conversations during any of our meetings will result in a warning being issued. If you commit a second offence then you will be asked to leave the community.
Because you only have five minutes with your first connection, first impressions are vital so you should make yours count! Knowing what to do (and what to avoid) can make all the difference.
Here are some do’s and don’ts that can help improve your chances of success with connecting and making new soul friends!
Do:
Keep an open mind toward the process of making new potential friends
Remember that some people may be shy to start with.
Use some of the light-hearted conversation starters
These can keep your conversations flowing and also support those that may need help with starting conversations.
Strike a balance between speaking and listening
Remember that conversations involve more than one person.
Relax
Be authentic, and be yourself.
Don't:
Be negative
Try to avoid being negative about the process or being critical of other participants.
Treat the event like an interview
Keep an open mind with a view to making new connections.
Monopolise the conversation
Try to keep conversation going both ways and include the person you're connecting with.
Give up on the process
You may not connect with anyone the first time, but keep trying.
Judge people by their looks
Avoid judging other people by the way they look. Instead, get to know their character and personality.
Also, don’t forget about the power of body language. Non-verbal communication can play a big role in conveying interest in a person. Eye-to-eye contact, smiling and nodding etc. can show that you are interested in what they are saying.
Just relax and be yourself as you connect with each person, and do not worry or be concerned if you do not feel drawn to some people. This is why you are taking part in the first place. Throughout the time you are here, at the very least, you will get to meet some interesting people and have a fun time.

I started off worrying about what would be talked about, but within minutes, there was no need to worry! Attended the first Connecting Souls event in Eastbourne. A really enjoyable evening, meeting lots of people with interesting stories. There were discussions and laughter and genuine conversations. Some people looking for relationships some looking for friendships but mostly trying something different. Hosts were welcoming and friendly.
