Connecting Souls is a social community bringing together people with a shared interest in spirituality, healing, holistic wellbeing and alternative practices.

Whether you’re a medium, healer, therapist, holistic practitioner, coach, someone developing your own spiritual path, or simply curious and interested in this world, Connecting Souls gives you somewhere to meet people who share those interests in real life.

Our aim is to create a growing community where people can connect socially, share experiences and knowledge, discover different practices and perspectives, and build genuine friendships with people they already have something meaningful in common with.

You don’t need to be a practitioner or work within the spiritual or holistic industry. Connecting Souls is equally for people who simply enjoy spirituality, alternative wellbeing, personal development or exploring different ways of thinking and want to meet others who feel the same.

What our events are about

Our events aren’t formal networking events, workshops or dating events. They’re relaxed social gatherings built around a shared community.

For practitioners, they naturally creates opportunities to meet other people working within the spiritual and holistic world, exchange experiences, discover what others do and build useful relationships. For everyone else, it’s an opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn from one another, discover new interests and become part of a community that extends beyond a single evening.

There are no expectations about what you believe or how spiritual you need to be. Different ideas, practices and experiences are part of what makes the community interesting.

Connecting Souls is about bringing that community out of individual treatment rooms, businesses, social-media groups and separate circles and giving people a welcoming place to actually meet.

Light-hearted speed connections

One of the ways we help our community connect is through our signature Light-hearted Speed Connections.

Don’t worry – it’s not speed dating. It’s simply our way of taking away the awkwardness of walking into a room full of people and wondering who to speak to first.

You’ll spend around five minutes chatting with different people, helped along by our specially created conversation cards if you need a little inspiration. You might find yourself talking about mediumship, healing, spirituality, holistic wellbeing, personal experiences or something you’ve always wanted to learn more about. Or you might spend five minutes laughing about something completely unrelated. That’s the point – there isn’t a script.

The Speed Connections simply give you the introduction; what you discover you have in common happens naturally.

You might meet a practitioner whose work fascinates you, somebody who has been through similar experiences, someone who introduces you to something completely new, or simply somebody you instantly get along with.

Once the Speed Connections finish, the event returns to relaxed socialising, giving you plenty of opportunity to continue conversations with the people you’ve connected with. There’s no pressure to make a certain number of connections or come away with anything specific.

The idea is simply to make it much easier to walk into Connecting Souls knowing that, before long, you’ll actually have met the people in the room.

Your community

Connecting Souls is about creating something bigger than individual events. We want to build a community where spiritually minded people can find each other, both locally and as Connecting Souls grows into new areas.

Some people will come because they want to make new friends. Some will come because they’d love to meet other people interested in spirituality but don’t currently have that community around them. Some may be completely new to the spiritual and holistic world and want somewhere relaxed to explore it.

Others may have spent years working as mediums, healers, therapists or practitioners and welcome the opportunity to meet others within the wider community without attending another formal networking event.

All of those people have one thing in common – an interest in the world that Connecting Souls brings together.

We want people to exchange ideas, recommend things they’ve discovered, learn from each other’s experiences, create friendships and make connections that continue long after the event finishes.

There is no pressure to promote your business if you’re a practitioner and no expectation to buy anybody’s services if you’re not. It’s a social community first.

All we ask is that everyone treats each other and their different beliefs, experiences and perspectives with kindness and respect.

  • You don’t need to arrive knowing anybody.
  • You don’t need to know everything about spirituality.
  • You don’t need to call yourself spiritual.

You just need an interest in the community and an openness to meeting the people within it.
